About Me

hi, I am Patricia Dunkley and the creator of Sponge-A-Luscious, I am a home based cake decorator based in the Cannock, Staffordshire area of the UK, I started baking cakes when my own children were babies back in 1997 making everything from scratch, and baking for friends and family to give me something to do while my children were babies, but life took over and cakes took a back seat after learning my youngest child had special needs and so he was my main priority and I became his full time carer up until 2014 which was when I had decided to take up cakes again making everything from scratch, learning from my nan at a very young age always taught me that fresh was best and this is the policy I continue to take in my baking to this very day, I always use the freshest of ingredients in everything I make and so this led me to 2015 when my baking for a hobby changed to making it a business that I can be proud of and making that leap is the best choice I made, I pride myself in the challenges it gives me and I make everything from the cake to the toppers by hand to this very day

Here at Sponge-A-Luscious we bake cakes for all of your special occasions, and we use the freshest of fruits, everything is also baked from scratch and as fresh as possible so it reaches you in the best quality possible, however as I bake with nuts I would be unable to cater for customers with a nut allergy
